WA’s Air Conditioning market leader Ford & Doonan are offering a limited number of places in their Air Conditioning installation Technician’s course 2022 intake.
Consists of a structured 24-month training plan that, in addition to air conditioning, it covers many other core competencies including:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Electrical
The training culminates with a part-time after hours TAFE Certificate 2 in Air Conditioning that earns a licence to install and handle refrigerant gas associated with domestic air conditioning.
The course intake commences in October 2022
Upon completing the 24-month course the successful graduates will be experienced in Ducted Air Conditioning and Split System Installations.
Future career opportunities include;
- Owning a sub-contracting Air Conditioning business
- Air Conditioning Salesperson
- Transition to formal Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Apprenticeship with course credits. A limited number of apprenticeships maybe available within the Ford & Doonan business group or other air conditioning companies.
Note- Having completed an installation course the graduates will
be ahead of others when employers review resumes due to the
skills set already gained.
